TFL Barclays Cycle Hire - How it works

The first of two films we directed for Transport for London's 'Cycle Hire Scheme' sponsored by Barclays.

We are currently working on two films for TFL for the promotion of the Barclays TFL cycle hire scheme

Featuring our very own mayor in animated form.

The Whistling Officer

Using the policeman character we had designed for the G20 Protests idea, we experimented with Maya and the tracking software Bou Jou. We tracked 5 seconds of footage that we filmed outside the Hackney Library and brought the tracking data into Maya where we were able to place our model and set up the correct lighting to cast shadows. Colour and shadow layers were then composited and graded in After Effects to give it a realistic feel.
